Broadband Stimulus Grants
If you are confused by what you have heard and read about the $7.2B Federal stimulus grant programs the staff of HunTel Engineering can help. We have been attending many of the workshops and meetings to stay abreast of the NTIA and RUS broadband grant programs. At this time, the grant application requirements for either the NTIA or RUS broadband programs have not yet been published, so there is still a large amount of information lacking in order to apply for any of these programs. However, there are some steps that need to be addressed at this time to be ready when the application information becomes available. Obtaining a Data Universal Number System (DUNS) number and registering with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) are required.
If you are interested in applying for an NTIA or RUS grant, or have questions concerning any of the programs, HunTel Engineering is here to help. Now is the time to start gathering information and discussing potential projects. When the definition of broadband services and unserved or under-served areas are released, the time to submit for the first round of funding will be very short.
At this time grant applications can not be properly prepared and are not being accepted. When the grants are able to be completed HunTel Engineering would like the opportunity to assist you with the application process for the NTIA or RUS Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP).
Please discuss your plans for any upcoming projects, collect as much information as possible and this will assist us in the ability to accurately complete the application.
We look forward to working with you!
